888sport Strikes Partnership with Cardiff City FC

Championship side Cardiff City FC unveil 888sport as the club’s training wear sponsor and new global betting partner. 888 is no stranger to football sponsorship deals, with fans seeing the brand on the Nottingham Forest jersey previously.

However, this new deal is slightly different as Cardiff are retaining their ‘Malaysia Berjaya’ sponsorship, which was forged when the club were bought by a consortium of Malaysian investors in 2010. Therefore, 888sport will have its name on all training kits throughout the current Championship football season.

In addition, 888 and Cardiff will be working on a number of activation programs over the course of the partnership; details of which will be released at a later date. Guy Cohen of 888 expressed his enthusiasm by commenting,

“We’re delighted to announce this new partnership with Cardiff City Football Club and look forward to getting behind the club’s push to bring Premier League football back to the Welsh capital,”

And, the executive director and CEO of Cardiff City, Ken Choo added: “Once again, I’m thrilled that we have entered into a partnership with a world-recognised brand like 888sport. We’re very happy to have them with us for the season ahead and I look forward to seeing the opportunities they will help create for City fans.”

It’s quite likely that such opportunities will be in addition to 888sport’s popular free-to-enter football prediction game – Up For 8. Whether this will mean a special 888sport welcome bonus for fans of the Bluebirds remains to be seen.
