It is Saturday again and that means football! So here is Gamblers Pro’s Tottenham V Liverpool Prediction.
So early in the season and the pressure already seems to be mounting. Both Tottenham and Liverpool would consider themselves as contenders for a top 4 finish this season but with both Manchester clubs winning their opening two fixtures and Chelsea doing the same – teams chasing them cannot afford to let too many points slip away.
This is normally one of the more entertaining fixtures of the season and we don’t expect today’s match to be any different. Let’s have a closer look at the sides in question:
After a very lacklustre start to the Premier league season during the first half against Everton – Tottenham have looked in reasonable nick. The second half introduction of new signing Vincent Janssen appeared to add an extra thrust and that match ended in a 1 all draw.
Their second game against Crystal Palace was a much better all round performance. Spurs lined up playing 4-4-2 (which is unfamilar for them) with Dele Alli dropped to the bench. Although, Spurs had the better of the game, it was only thanks to a late goal by Wanyama which spared their blushes.
A worry is that the strikers are not scoring at the moment – but Harry Kane made a slow start to last season as well so perhaps this is a common trend for him. Janssen had a great chance to bag his first league goal but snatched at the chance. Saying that, Tottenham have plenty of quality and when it clicks they play some good football.
From a magnificent victory at the Emirates 2 weeks ago – Liverpool went on to lose against a side which most bookies are saying will be relegated at that end of this season. And, now questions are being asked about Klopp and his side’s ‘inconsistency’.
A good win, albeit against Burton Albion, in midweek would hopefully have lifted spirits but this is now a very odd Liverpool, so who knows which side will turn up at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham V Liverpool Prediction and Best Bet
This could go either way to be honest. If Liverpool play Klopp’s usual high pressure game – Tottenham will perhaps struggle as they did against that style of play in the first against Everton. But, Burnley showed teams how to do so we are saying this match will end up in a 1-1 draw.
